Umphrey and Lisa Jackson are a Husband and Wife duo and Owners of Ljs Events and Catering . They have been in the Hospitality Business for the past since 2005. Lisa has a BA in Business Mgt and experiences in Management and Staffing. Umphrey has a background in Staging and Lighting .He has set up events for some of the biggest name in the music industry, as well as sports and corporate events. They both shared similar interest in Cooking , Event Planning and Setup so they decided to go into business together .They first opened a restaurant featuring Southern Style classics: Ribs, Fried Chicken , Slow Smoked Brisket and of course great sides dishes and desserts. During this time, they got many requests to cater and set up events. And decided to go full time in Wedding Planning and Catering. They have received many Awards and Accolades including an Article in The Miami Herald , Receiving the honor to cater for 2 Superbowl’s and many honors as top bridal Caterer on The Wedding Wire and The Knot for 3 years running . Our motto is to “Exceed your expectations” and so we strive to do that for each and every client.
